在壓電元件中有人把晶振比喻成“心臟”,可能有些人會覺得不可思議,會覺得是我們在夸夸奇談,我很理解有這種想法的人,因為在電子PCB板上并不是只有這種元件,還有很多包括像電容、電阻、二極管、IC之類的元器件,但是我想說的是沒有晶振這顆元件的帶動,其它的元件器都形同虛設(shè)。

晶振頻率隨壓控端控制電壓的變化而變化的特性叫做壓控特性。一般晶振在長期運行中,由于各種因素的影響,晶振工作頻率會產(chǎn)生一定的波動或老化漂移。為了保證晶振工作頻率達到系統(tǒng)運行要求,在頻率超出運行要求時必須進行調(diào)節(jié),一般多采用電調(diào)的方法來實現(xiàn)。

單從壓控特性指標(biāo)來說,在相同壓控電壓變化范圍內(nèi)頻率調(diào)節(jié)范圍越大越好,但對高穩(wěn)晶振來說,因其頻率穩(wěn)定度高,頻率短時期內(nèi)的頻率變化很小,不需要經(jīng)常很大的調(diào)節(jié)量;另外,過大的頻率調(diào)節(jié)范圍會對其它穩(wěn)定度方面的指標(biāo)(如溫度穩(wěn)定度)構(gòu)成一定的影響,需根據(jù)用戶要求綜合考慮多方面指標(biāo),以保證器件與整個系統(tǒng)性能的平衡與合理。
關(guān)于控制晶振壓控端的控制電壓,對于需要使用到此功能的用戶來說,其控制電壓來源于用戶的系統(tǒng)設(shè)計,大多用戶采用智能受控的精密DAC電路或數(shù)字電位器(位數(shù)越高頻率控制精度越高),也有少數(shù)采用傳統(tǒng)的人工調(diào)節(jié)機械電位器,不論采用哪種控制方式都應(yīng)注意控制電壓紋波與響應(yīng)時間,當(dāng)輸入端干擾過大時會使晶振頻率抖動,相噪惡化。通常情況下晶振廠商在晶振壓控輸入端的內(nèi)部已設(shè)計了一定頻響范圍內(nèi)的低通濾波,所以如果晶振工作環(huán)境有較強干擾,可在壓控端外部增加一個適度頻響的低通濾波,如果干擾不大外部低通器件不焊即可。

壓控振蕩器(VCXO)是通過調(diào)整控制端電壓改變輸出頻率。一般頻率調(diào)整范圍為±50~±200ppm。改變外加調(diào)整電壓的大小,能改變?nèi)菪载?fù)載CL的值,從而實現(xiàn)頻率的調(diào)整。
溫補振蕩器(TCXO)是利用附件的溫度補償電路以減少環(huán)境溫度對振蕩頻率的影響。TCXO利用熱敏電阻的溫度敏感性,當(dāng)溫度變化時,熱敏電阻的阻值和容性負(fù)載同時發(fā)生變化,而容性負(fù)載的變化會改變振蕩頻率,從而實現(xiàn)的對振蕩頻率的修正
TCXO頻率精度和溫度特性遠高于普通振蕩器,比恒溫晶振差,但不需預(yù)熱,功耗低,從而在野外作業(yè),移動設(shè)備,通訊導(dǎo)航設(shè)備中廣泛應(yīng)用。
無論是壓控晶振還是溫補晶振,在電路中只有一個作用,那就是提供穩(wěn)定的頻率輸出。不同的是壓控晶振可以通過壓控端的電壓微調(diào)控制輸出的頻率的高低,而溫補晶振則自動根據(jù)環(huán)境溫度的變化對頻率輸出進行補償,使輸出的頻率穩(wěn)定,當(dāng)然一些溫補晶振也帶有壓控端。
